Pipe Organ Services was conceived back in the mid 1980's by Alan W. Goulding while living in Salisbury. This followed several years in the trade working on organs both in the UK and overseas.
Alan W. Goulding was himself apprenticed during the 1970's at the famous firm of J.W. Walker & Son in Suffolk where strict quality disciplines were the order of the day. During his time there, his experiences covered all aspects of organ building, from small mechanical action organs to large electro-pneumatic organs in some of England's finest cathedrals.
At other times he had been a tuning representative for Hill Norman and Beard, the General Manager of Peter Collins Ltd. and has assisted many major companies.
During 1996, the company established itself in the East Midlands where it serves both church clients directly and also numerous reputable organ building companies with larger contracts.
